Project Harper I

Caring Hands for Liberia conducted its first medical mission trip to Harper, Liberia in May 2007. The team included:

- Nazarene Brewer Tubman, Team Leader
- Gary Bean, MD
- Margaret Stubblefield, DDS
- Wehti Wotorson, RN
- Jomo Stubblefield, Photo Journalist
- Nelson Bean, Assistant

Caring Hands for Liberia collected over $30,000.00 worth of medical supplies and had them shipped to Harper, Liberia prior to commencing the trip. The team arrived in Liberia on May 5, 2007. They were welcomed warmly and were given the "Key to the city" at the Welcome Ceremony.
The team went to work on Tuesday, May 8, 2007. While in Harper patients that needed dental work were seen by Dr. Stubblefield and patients in need of medical care were seen by Dr. Bean. Ms. Wotorson was a great asset and assisted with patient intake and screening. The team saw over 200 patients between Tuesday and Friday.

The trip was powerful and left an impact not only on the patients seen but also on those that volunteered. Mr. Jomo Stubblefield captured the trip on video.

Project Harper II

Caring Hands for Liberia conducted Project Harper II which included collecting and shipping 26 boxes of medical supplies to Liberia. The Senators and Representatives of Maryland County were informed of the arrival of Mrs. Nazarene Brewer Tubman and the medical supplies.Senator Gloria Musu-Scott and Representive Bhofal Chambers accompanied Mrs. Tubman to the warehouse where she the supplies were inventoried and turned over to them for the use of helping the peoples of Maryland County.

Project Harper III

Caring Hands for Liberia has commenced the organization of Project Harper III. Volunteers are still needed to assist in different capacities. The organization hopes to accomplish the following during this mission trip:

" Conduct patient health screenings
" Dental screenings and provide minor dental procedures
" Perform minor surgeries
" Perform a health and hygiene education series
